Made in Morocco, Zellige is a type of ceramic tile that is formed from a raw clay that is soaked, molded, and then baked in the sun, giving the tile depth and character. Each piece is hand-cut and shaped, creating slightly irregular forms with artful variation, meaning no two tiles (even from the same batch) will look alike. Its slightly uneven, textured surface creates an artisan look.  Zellige often comes in vibrant colors and unique patterns and are artfully glazed to show off their handcrafted "perfectly imperfect" nature.
