Encore Ceramics
Founded in 2000 by Barry and Debbie Russell, Encore Ceramics is best known for its stunning glaze palettes, unique mosaics, and superior old-world relief tiles. They have a comprehensive line of sustainably produced field, decor, and mosaic tiles in unique colors and glazes. Encore offers some of the best luxury tiles in the world, while supporting an earth-conscious business model. Each piece offered is crafted from scratch and hand glazed by American artisans—all from their U.S. based facility in Oregon, where they are passionate about making tile the right way.
Encore’s “green from the ground up” artisan manufacturing process focuses on crafting beautiful tile as sustainably as possible. Their commitment to the environment is impressive with engineered efficiency that goes beyond just recycling. Encore’s list of innovations include being early adopters of solar panels, users of a single-fire process to reduce energy consumption and being one of the first tile factorys to reduce all production waste water. In addition, all raw waste is captured in their progressive production process where they’ve designed extra steps to collect waste clay, glaze, and water, and recycle it until it leaves the building as a finished tile.
